The Nissan Sentra is Nissan’s answer to the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic. Available in a wide range of models, from the sedate but adequate base 1.8S to the top of the line SE-R Spec V, the Sentra offers all the amenities that most people look for in a vehicle, from fuel-efficient engines to a large option list. Nissan Sentra can be equipped sparsely and had for a very reasonable sum, or can be personalized with a large selection of power options, wheel choices, engine choices, and other amenities such as CD/MP3 audio, cruise control, tilt steering and more. Available engines include a frugal 1.8L 4 Cylinder engine, and two 2.5L DOHC 4 Cylinder engines, with horsepower ratings ranging from 125 hp (1.8L) to 175 hp (2.5L Spec V). The Sentra is available with a manual or automatic transmission. The Sentra was redesigned in 2009.
